What is the safest way to clean baby toys?

My baby is 7 months and she puts ebrything in her mouth. I want to clean her toys with Lysol or Clorox wipes, is that safe? or should I clean them with soap.

Soap and water would be best, but soak them in Clorox during cold and flu season to kill off germs that could make her sick. If you have a dishwasher and these aren’t toys with noisy parts or mechanics, put the toys in the top rack and wash them that way. Both the soap and the hot water will sanitize her toys. All in all, though, unless your house is filthy from top to bottom, or she’s dropped her toy into something gross, it’s unnecessary to wash her toys all the time (once a week = good. Once a day = overkill and tedious). It’s good for her to be exposed to some germs so that her immune system can build up immunity to it.

if you want to be safe get a big pot fill it with water and boil the toys

Clorox, BUT…rewash them afterwards…make sure they dont smell like it anymore when you do..just keep washing them with water after the clorox.
If she is putting them in her mouth I’d suggest either just using regular dish soap and water (rinse well), or if you want to really sanitise them use the sterilising fluid you use to cold water sterilise bottles etc.
I certainly would not use harsh chemical cleaners like the ones you’ve mentioned for my child’s toys…and I don’t. I use them on my toilet. They leave terrible residues – and what do you think that ‘scent’ is made from? Look for a natural alternative or if you must, use VERY diluted bleach and let the toys air dry. A second water only rinse would be beneficial.
just a wet cloth would be fine with a little washing up liquid!

You want it clean- but you want her to build up SOME immunity too.
put bleach in a sink like 4 ounces and add about 10 cups of water to that then put the toys in and let sit for 10 to 20 min. after that take them out and rinse off and let dry!
The Clorox wipes should be safe, but not the Lysol. Dreft makes a baby sanitizer that is great. When I don’t have that, I normally use the clorox spray (which is safe to use) and let them soak in that and water. But the toys with batteries that can’t be soaked, I normally use wipes

both are considered safe, however, clorox is suppose to be more safe, but you should always wash them off with water afterwords to make sure that they don’t get lysol or clorox in their mouth. I personally put 1/4th clorox and 3/4th water in my sink and let my sons toys soak in there for 2-3 minutes and then wash them off. When he was younger, I would wash his bottles this way and it is safe, it’s even on the clorox website, however, I would still just boil the nipples and then clorox the rest of the bottles. It says it’s safe, but I was always afraid that somehow the nipples would absorb the clorox. Im a worry wart lol
